Quest for Democracy 2022
We are at a critical moment in history. The threat of oppression looms as injustices seemingly gain momentum due to elections, historical budget allocations, and other systemic operations. Our futures must be defended. Our legacy must be protected. Over the course of the last six years, Legal Services for Prisoners with Children / All of Us or None has organized Quest for Democracy to provide hundreds of directly and system-impacted people from dozens of diverse organizations access to democracy and the opportunity to advocate as experts about the devastating realities of the criminal justice system. By facilitating this direct access to our elected representatives, we’re able to use our real-life expertise to draw attention to our humanity while supporting legislation that helps our families and communities lead healthy lives.
While the fight for human and civil rights continue to plague our country, the COVID-19 pandemic has swept across this nation and is still of major concern. Resultedly, we have been challenged to adapt in new ways to avoid being silenced and derailed from our commitments to our mission and the hundreds of thousands of people we serve. With the health of our communities at the forefront, Legal Services for Prisoners with Children /All of Us or None is organizing the first ever Hybrid (In-Person and Digital) Quest for Democracy (HQ4D). On August 8, 2022, we invite you to join us at our State Capitol and online in order to speak in your own voice. With everyone’s participation, our collective voice and call to action will undoubtedly make this the biggest and loudest Quest for Democracy ever!
HQ4D 2022 will feature opportunities to directly to members of the state legislature about the bills and policies we believe are crucial to building a more equitable and just society. We will have robust discussions, live entertainment, and a digital megaphone to amplify our voices.
Please contact office@startingoverinc.org to be added to our transportation and hotel list!

Dear Mama: Supporting & Protecting Families March & Caravan
We are hosting this event to advocate for mothers who have been impacted by the criminal justice system and the child welfare system.
We know that Mother's Day can be a hard day for many people. Some people are reminded of the loss of their mother. Some mothers are reminded of the separation from their children. Some people may not know their biological mother. Whatever the case may be, this day brings up many emotions for many people. We want to take the time to celebrate motherhood. Today we stand in unity at this courthouse to advocate for mothers and parents who are still dealing with the separation from their children.
Join us in solidarity as we march to the Edmunds courthouse.
