We want you to be healthy, safe, and informed, whether you are currently using or seeking treatment.

Did you know that formerly incarcerated individuals are 40 times more likely to die from an opioid overdose in the first two weeks of release, due to reduced tolerance after withdrawal during incarceration?

Did you know the 13th Amendment didn’t truly abolish slavery?

Article 1, Section 6, of the California Constitution outlaws slavery and involuntary servitude
“except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted.”

Last year, voters in Alabama, Tennessee, Oregon, and Vermont voted to remove involuntary servitude from their states’ constitutions. CA must catch up. We are currently in the struggle to remove vestiges from our State Constitution.

ACA 8 (Proposition 6) the End Slavery in California Act, currently in California Senate committee, will seek to amend the state constitution to prohibit slavery in any form.

Vote YES on Prop 6 this November!
